Project “SPINNING”: diamond spin-photon-based quantum computerA new format celebrated its premiere at this year's LASER World of PHOTONICS: the World of QUANTUM. The SPINNING project consortium used the new platform to present the project to an international audience.
The World of QUANTUM was held for the first time at the LASER World of PHOTONICS 2022. It is one of the largest events bringing together science, industry, and users from the field of quantum technology, providing information about current research results, and presenting the first examples of applications for this technology of the future.
The exhibition in the quantum hall was flanked by numerous presentations. At the BMBF Networking Event Quantum Computing, the "SPINNING" project consortium had two opportunities to present the project. Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Quay, project coordinator of "SPINNING" and acting Executive Director of Fraunhofer IAF, presented the project in his talk "Quantum computing based on spin qubits in diamond".
In the poster session "Quantum Computer Demonstration Setup Projects", Dr. Peter Knittel, researcher in the Quantum Systems Business Unit, explained the milestones and scientific background of the project.
